For those who don’t know, Free League’s Dragonbane is a classless d20 fantasy role playing game based on an 80’s Swedish game. Combat is fast, the flow of the game encourages role playing, and it manages to play like an OSR game with enough modern touches to keep current gamers happy (if you want to read about some of my sessions I ran as GM to get an idea of what the game is about, check out my Secrets of the Draaken Emperor campaign summaries).

The Arkand Friends & Foes Standee Set includes multiple cardboard standees of NPCs and monsters included within the Arkand: City of Waves and Flames supplement, which I supported in a recent Kickstarter, and is now available at Free League’s website.

If you use fantasy standees or minis in your games, these are ideal. The card is thick stock and the standees are beautifully illustrated in a cartoon style reminiscent of the Arkand book’s illustrations. You could conceivably utilize them with any generic fantasy RPG. You’ll need plastic bases as none are included in this set, but if you have the Dragonbane Mirth & Mayhem box set, or some Pathfinder pawn bases, then you’ve got all you need.
