Starfinder 2e Overview!

Hi all,

I purchased the Starfinder 2e Player Core the other day (the compact version, which is considerably cheaper than the hardback). I have the original Starfinder, which had lots of interesting differences from old Pathfinder (including stamina points on top of hit points). The new version is much more closely aligned with Pathfinder 2e, probably to make crossover between systems easier for players.

As such P2e veterans will find lots of this book familiar. The ancestries, weapons, setting, some of the skills and spells differ, but the three-action economy and DC systems are straight from P2e. Needless to say, this is a great game for players looking to dip their feet into science fantasy, especially those who like to retain the high fantasy/magic-oriented feel of their campaigns (that said, there are always the options of running low and no magic Sci-fi campaigns)…

Cheers

Steve 🙂
