Parchment L’Arcanum

Wondrous Item (uncommon)

This yellowed and creased piece of vellum looks like any other old, blank piece of paper.

Once per day, the user can write a single word or draw a simple symbol on the Parchment using any writing tool. The paper transforms into an object or provides a spell effect (up to a maximum of 2nd-level) related to the written word or drawn symbol. The object is AC 10, 15 HP, can have a volume up to a 10 ft. cube and lasts for 1 minute. If the object is destroyed, it returns to its original Parchment form. Any spell effect lasts for the maximum duration of the spell effect it mimics or until dismissed by the user. The DM has the final say on the object’s nature/spell effects.

Once per day, the Parchment can also be used to send a short, written message to any creature the user is familiar with, regardless of distance, as long as the target is on the same plane of existence. The message will appear on a blank piece of paper near the recipient.
