Scrivener Quill

Wondrous item, rare (requires attunement)

This magical quill has a golden nib and a feather of a rare bird. An attuned user can write in any language using the quill, even if they are not proficient in the script. The quill never runs out of ink and can write on any surface that is not magical or adamantine.

As an ACTION, the attuned user can speak a command word and point the quill at any written text they can see within 30 feet. The quill will copy the text onto a blank sheet of paper or parchment that the attuned user is holding, as long as the text is not protected by magic or written in a secret code. The quill can copy up to one page of text per minute.

As a BONUS action, the attuned user can speak a different command word and erase any text they have written/copied with the quill within the last 24 hours. The text disappears without a trace, leaving the paper or parchment blank. They can erase up to one page of text per BONUS action.
