One day. A poem.

One day, your face
Appeared to me
Among the crowd
And I was lost
As I always am
In sight and sound
And misery

And just as soon
As it was found
Your face was lost
And once again
I was alone and
Drowned, downed
Among the mass
Of ghosts around

Just one day
Repeatedly
Wound, unwound
And lost again
