Hand. A poem.

Hand in mine, you lead
me far from dark entwined.

For certain death
                            does this
                                      way lie.

Awakened from the brine
that soaks me here;

bitter, murky soup
                  in which I float,
                                       resigned.

Take this hand, and lead
me far from death’s brigand.

Comfort me for I have been
                              led astray from
                                               all I need.
