Reveal. A poem.

My smile is always tinged
with sadness and regret,
because even all this love I have
can’t change what’s done and said.

I’ll reveal to you my everything,
be the oracle of my shame,
Entrust you with my deepest hurt
my mires and my flames.

Your forgiveness, if it comes,
will make this pain subside.
For it’s then and only then,
that my life will be worthwhile.
