Options. A poem.

So many options.

So many numbers,
so many keys.

A lifetime of
choice
compressed into
one,
mechanical drone
call.

Menus designed to
send me on my way
(but not in a good way,
or a satisfied way,
or a new way).

Menus,
like life,

with
far
too
many
options.

  1. Good points, Steve. πŸ™‚ Too many options can be stressful, esp. now with this new augmented reality thing going on with cell phones. I love the excitement of technology but I understand the stress and burden of it too. I am not against the usefulness of augmented reality but I also see the other side of it. It could keep us from “real” reality if we get engaged too much.
