Would you shed a tear for me
when I’m gone or about to go?
Would you wave as I depart,
smile awhile, wander alone?
Would you care if I passed away
from this world, from this fray?
Would you be lost if I moved on,
a wilderness, your compass gone?
Would you shed a single tear
when I leave this place, gone from here?

Thanks, Carly. Unfortunately, when I wrote it a few weeks ago, I did feel that way. I suffer from depression and it inspires a lot of my writing. If you like dark poems you can look forward to my endless supply.

I understand. While I don’t suffer from depression I suffer from anxiety, so I understand how emotional distress can be debilitating. Keep expressing yourself through your words. 🙂
