Mourning Flowers
1.
The flowers in bloom,
painted like rainbows in June.
Yet, you tear them down.
2.
You cast them aside,
like radioactive waste.
And now: here you are.
3.
They are reminders
of all you’ve reaped and sown
and lost. Mourn your life.
Yes, mourn your life. But that is the tendency of the small, human self. In each moment there is also much to celebrate.

Hi Pamela
A Haiku, by virtue of its simplicity, can only capture a small moment (okay, that’s not really true, but it is in this instance lol) 🙂

Indeed. And I do need to focus much more on this very moment. Thank you for the reminder.

Hi Pamela – and thank you for reminding me to look at the big picture more often. Sometimes we get caught up worrying so much about the minutiae we forget about that 🙂

And here I stand, on one foot, on tiptoe… HA!
I did like these haikus.
